Chinchillas are not difficult to care for, they just require Different care than your average pet. Please do lots of research before deciding if a chinchilla is the right pet for you and your family.
You can never know too much, I still learn new things everyday. Read websites, join forums, ask lots of questions, do not be afraid. Most chinchilla people LOVE to talk about these little critters and enjoy educating "newbies".
