Hi, my name is Misty and I live in Northern Indiana with my dogs, Molly and Samson, and all of  our chinnie butts!

I love shopping, especially for new stuff for the critters. When it's nice out I love to go horseback riding.  I don't get to do it as often as I would like, but I try.  I also like to Knit, read and scrapbook.

And of course, I love attending as many chin shows, events and meetings as time and money allows!!

It all started with one...

Chinchillas are like potato chips....you can't stop at just one!  Well, at least I couldn't!

The very first chin I ever saw belonged to my sister Toni.  I went to Tennessee to visit my sisters for Christmas. She had just gotten her chin, Chipper.  He was the cutest thing I'd ever seen!  I came home, did lots of research on them and decided I really wanted one!  However at the time I could not find a close breeder, and I was just starting College, and living on my own.  So thoughts of chinchillas faded from my mind.

Then two years later, I was working full time, and a coworkers' friend had a chinchilla that had belonged to his son.  The son was getting married and since the chinchilla was a gift from his ex-girlfriend, his wife-to-be did not want him to keep it.  So of course I jumped at the chance to give the little "guy" a new home.

That's how we got Murphy, we were told Murphy was a boy...and I never thought to question it. After having Murphy for a few months we decided "he" was lonely, so I got him another male friend, Marty.

Well about 5 months later...we found out Murphy was actually a Murphet...and we now had little Hercules.

But after purchasing Marty I had begun to think about showing and breeding.  So I started to look for good quality Chins to begin my breeding program.   Murphy and Marty will never again be breed, since I do not know anything about their histories and the same goes for Hercules.

But that's how it all began...
